TransitCare is a not for profit organisation providing transport and support services to assist frail and elderly people and young people with disabilities to live independently in their own homes and to participate in their communities. Main services provided are: medically related transport options for Clients living south of Brisbane and Logan; shopping services in Logan and Wynnum areas and social transport in Logan and south Brisbane areas.
Main responsibilities:
To support the social and recreational needs of older and frail aged people and people with a disability and their carers by providing safe and reliable transport
To manage fare collection accurately and honestly
To maintain fleet vehicle in accordance with organisational requirements
Safe and correct operation of wheelchair tie down equipment and wheelchair hoists [training will be provided]
Represent the Organisation in a professional and polite manner at all times
Skills Required
LR Drivers licence preferred
Queensland Transport drivers authorisation for general services
Clear Criminal History and Police Traffic History checks
Current First aid certificate, CPR training
